Contact Lenses South Africa

We can’t help but get a little lazier in winter, it’s the season of hibernation after all. Our routines get a little more relaxed, our morning rituals a little more rushed because it’s just that little bit harder to get out of our warm comfortable beds.

September is around the corner and what better time to remind yourself of how to look after your lenses the way they deserve to be looked after. To help you spring clean your habits we have a couple of do’s and don’ts to get you off to a good start.

DO: Always wash your hands with a soap that doesn’t have any fragrance, lotion or oils and remember to dry your hands well with a towel that won’t leave any small fibers on your hands.

DON'T: Wear your contacts for longer than you’re supposed to. Dailies are called dailies for a reason ;)

DO: Replace old cases at least every three months and replace open contact lens solution that’s older than 30 days.

DON'T: Put your contact lenses in after you’ve put on your make-up or let tap water or any liquid that isn’t contact lens solution (yes, watch out for your morning coffee) anywhere near your lenses.

DO: Check your contact lens for any dirt or damage BEFORE you put them in to avoid some very irritated and sore eyes.

DON'T: Forget that ordering your contact lenses is as easy as a couple of clicks and they’ll be delivered to you in 1-5 working days.
